CHEV 327/376HPHi Performance Balanced Crate EngineForged Pistons - Aluminum Heads This Chevy 327 crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines would be EXCELLENT for just about any street car, pickup truck, 4X4, and some marine applications (call or email us for details). With 376HP @ 5500rpm and 419ft lbs of torque @ 4500rpm it has good all around power, and works well with either a manual or automatic transmission. This engine has enough cam to let you know it has good all around power with a choppy muscle car thumpy idle. You can use a stock stall speed torque converter, but you would benefit by using a mild 2000 to 2200 stall speed. The included intake manifold comes with a square bore carb flange and works best with a Holley 650 or 670 carb depending on application (carb not included).
