This coding compliance and reimbursement manager position is for a large, well established hospital. Challenging work, friendly staff and great opportunities for advancement!!
Candidate will manage the activities of the coding staff as well as coding and financial reporting. Responsible for CEU, compliance with government and coding regulations along with hiring, training, evaluating and terminating assigned staff. Requirements are as follows:
* BA/BS or equivalent experience required
* 3 yrs experience supervising medical coding staff
* 3-5 yrs HIM or large acute facility
* CPC required
* CSS preferred
* Knowledge of SoftMed, Microsoft Office Suite
* Familiar with MS-DRG and APC reimbursement systems
Able to communicate effectively with management, physicians, patient financial services and subordinates. Provide written and verbal instruction and technical information to management and vendors.
