DataCenter Sr.Manager - PHX (16828) – Phoenix

Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a DataCenter Sr. Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Responsibilities:
Provides operational support for systems hardware, peripherals and software within our client’s Data Centers and related facilities. Works in conjunction with the Technical support staff to implement immediate resolutions to critical problems. Works with Operations personnel to identify areas of possible automation and/or improvement to provide better customer service, enhance problem resolution techniques. Provides all or many of the following services: Monitor systems consoles for problems, manage systems availability, production scheduling and control, reports distribution, service level support, administration and controls, equipment operation, backup recovery, procedural documentation, and execution of the disaster recovery plan.
Supervises staff, directs work assignments, and initiates personnel actions, including hiring, disciplinary actions, salary matters, goal setting, develop Individual Development Plan's (IDP’s) and performance reviews. Organizes and controls the operations of the Data Center by coordinating staff to meet budgets and deadlines. Interfaces with internal and external management in problem-solving and recommending technical alternatives and appropriate actions. Manages Client Service Levels and escalates to appropriate management if impending issues threaten to jeopardize our ability to meet them. Coordinates the activities of a computer installation to meet schedules, effectively utilizing resources to meet production schedule.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience working in a 24 X 7 Data Center Operations with multiple shifts.
  
• 4+ years of previous management experience.
  
• 3+ years of KVM Technology experience.
  
• 3+ years of Power and Cooling Infrastructure experience
  
  Desired Skills:
  
• 3+ years of experience in AS/400, Intel and Unix operations.
  
• Healthcare background.
  
  Minimum Educational Requirements:
  
• Bachelor in Computer Science preferred.
