Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) provides more than 141,000 people with print disabilities with the books they need to learn and succeed.

RFB&D volunteers produce books-on-CD that will help children and adults access the educational materials they need to finish elementary and high school, and in order to pursue higher education.

All of RFB&D's books-on-CD are read by volunteers. Volunteer Editors ensure that recordings are up to RFB&D standards. If you are detail-oriented and enjoy working with technology, this is the perfect volunteer position for you!

Skills

Volunteer Editors must:

- commit to volunteering at least three hours per week in our Studio, which has morning, afternoon and evening availability during the week.

- Have an "ear" for detail. You'll be reviewing the work of our Readers and Directors to ensure that our Blind and Dyslexic members receive high quality materials.

- like working with a team! You'll work with other volunteers as you help RFB&D produce books-on-CD.

RFB&D is especially excited about volunteers who:

- have basic (or even advanced) computer skills. Even if you're not very computer savvy, we can train you to use our simple systems.
