This engine has a rough idle with enough cam to give it that muscle car sound but is still mild enough to be reliable for that everyday driver or restoration project. This engine should be used with a 2500 stall speed convertor if being used with an automatic transmission, and a 650cfm to 670cfm carburetor is recommended.
