Oracle DBA Specialist - PHX (14386) – Phoenix

Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Mid-Level Oracle DBA Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Responsibilities:
Understands and has developed the ability to perform all of the basic database management skills of physical structure, logical design, administration, applications, web, communication, disaster recovery, and overall architecture. Strong knowledge of the relational model. Database performance tuning. Applies strong knowledge of a specific application and uses ability to design, develop and support large complex or multi-databases. Performs database modifications against production databases and develops standards and procedures for the system environment. Runs scheduled verifications, corrects errors, resolves error conditions, and tests disaster recovery processes. Provides test databases for application development. Implements processes for refreshing database for testing. Manages user, security and process access to database. Monitors physical capacity and assist operations with archival. May utilize statistical/analytical skills to interpret results from Data mining.

Required Skills:

• Rotating on call and after hours project work.
  
• 3+ years Oracle 7i, 8i, 9i and 10g Database.
  
• 6 months to 1+ year of Unix experience.
  
  Desired Skills:
  
• 1+ year of exposure to SQL Server.
  
• RAC experience.
  
  Minimum Educational Requirements:
  
• College degree or equivalent experience.
  
  Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  
• Oracle Certified Profession desired.
