CDI is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer - Windows
Position Description:
Provides technical support and consultation for operating systems. Performs systems programming tasks associated with installation, and customization of program products.
Uses general specifications to identify and resolve moderately complex to complex systems software and/or hardware problems.
Task/Responsibilities:
Assist with the support of Windows servers and installation of applications
Provide support for Windows developers: code deployments, application upgrades, bug fixing, Windows configuration, and patching.
Work with vendor, project manager and other project team members to ensure all system tasks are identified and scheduled.
Create technical design and system documentation.
Support the QA staff during testing by providing system logs or tracking down system related bugs as needed.
Assist in quality assurance and launch efforts as needed.
Required Knowledge:
Windows 2000 / 2003 Server.
IIS 5.0/6.0 Configuration & Administration Familiar with SMTP Server Security Configuration (Local Security Policy).
Basic networking User maintenance/administration.
Basic Database (MSSQL) knowledge
Platform and Skill Set Expertise:
Design Skills & Tools: Visio, Microsoft Productivity Software: MS Office
