Job Description:
The Windows Application Developer will develop and support interactive web applications and serve as a primary technical contact for a major client. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience and be a key member of a team that works closely with client staff to build and implement custom app dev solutions.
Job requirements:
* Develop web based solutions as required.
* Work closely with team members to ensure overall quality and integrity of web-based interactive applications.
* Consult with clients to ascertain and define needs or problem areas, and determine the scope of investigation required to architect and develop a solution.
* Advise client on alternate methods of solving needs, or recommend specific solutions.
* Present findings, recommendations, and specifications in formal written reports and/or oral presentations.
* Document results and outcome of solution.
* A strong background of Windows application software development.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients and develop a clear understanding of their needs.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Reliability, a professional attitude, and a willingness to do what is required in a cooperative work setting.
Technical Requirements:
* Proven development experience using ASP.NET, XML, WSS, Web Services, C#, Visual C++, or VB.NET.
* Strong SQL knowledge, particularly Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005, SQL Enterprise Manager, and Reporting Services.
*At least one year of SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services development experience.
*.NET 2.0/3.0 Framework Development.
* JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSLT experience.
* Strong cross-platform HTML and CSS skills.
